Internet Safety & Scholarship Workshop

Join MTA Foundation in partnership with the Native Village of Eklutna for the Internet Safety and MTA Foundation Scholarship Community Workshop.

The internet can be a fascinating place filled with information and virtual experiences, but it can also contain dangers that we want to help you avoid. This workshop will be full of tips and Information on staying safe while benefitting from all the amazing things the internet can offer.

  • Thursday, February 2, 4-6pm
  • 2141 Sun Mountain Ave Building E, Wasilla
  • Light refreshments will be served.
  • Enter to win passes to Skeetawk Ski Area and lots of cool MTA swag.

You’ll Learn About:

  • Background on the Internet – what is it, where does it come from, how do we use the internet and some fun facts
  • Understanding online dangers
  • Places on the internet where dangers can occur
  • Preventing identity theft
  • Guidelines for staying safe at home and on the go
  • We will have tips for applying to the MTA Foundation Scholarship program and will demonstrate how to use the new application portal.
